I was born in Craig Colorado and raised on our family owned cattle ranch. The focus of our ranch is raising angus beef but we are far more diverse than that. My father took over the operation when he was young and owned about twenty cows. In just 30 years we have grown to one of the largest producers in the state of Colorado. Twelve years ago we started a registered Angus herd aside from our commercial cattle. Our goal was to raise 100 head of pureblood angus bulls and start our own production sales. In just five years we have expanded to 500 bulls and two production sales in the spring. We are now one of the top purebred angus producers in the nation. Aside from the cattle we run a guide and outfitting service in the most premier elk and deer hunting units in the nation. Also we just started a recreational business that involves fishing, horseback riding, trailing cattle, and many more western adventures. My parents have always instilled in my head that education is key to success, so I graduated and came to CSU. Majoring in Agricultural business, I plan to return to the family ranch and run it with my brother.
