I live by the philosophy of letting curiosity guide me to new experiences and connections. I learned what it means to be a team player through classical music training throughout high school and college. I learned how to self-educate and build resilience, compassion, and empathy through working in coffee shops and arts administration. During my time in administration, I gained a love of personal finance and business. This led me to go back to school to get a masters in accounting, without any prior experience in the field. My time in accounting has reinforced that every job, career, or profession is about people, and it is both possible and necessary to care for and support our work communities. Be curious, learn, and be brave enough to do new and unexpected things.
