I have cooperated with multiple companies over the years as a freelancer, providing services such as:• Translating text-documents from English/French into Castilian Spanish.• Proofreading translations and providing feedback.• Subtitling and spotting any sort of audiovisual content.

My main responsibilities at Sublime Subtitling as a Senior Project Manager - Supervisor are the following:• Leading a team of Project Managers, Junior Project Managers, Subtitlers and Interns, and supervising them during the life-cycle or their projects.• Documenting processes and streamlining workflows in order to archive the best quality possible, and deliver on a timely manner.• Dealing with high-end subtitling projects that follow complex workflows and/or require managing multiple teams (e.g. Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Graphics, Shipping, etc.).

My main responsibilities at Sublime Subtitling as a Senior Project Manager included:• Dealing with high-end subtitling projects destined to the main VOD platforms on the market.• Following complex workflows in order to reach the highest quality possible in the ideal time frame.• Liaising between clients and linguists to answer production queries and solve issues that may arise during the life-cycle of a project.

My main responsabilities at Voice and Script International as a Project Coordinator included:• Organising projects from start to finish by creating cost-quote review documents, project instructions and schedules.• Operating as the main point of contact between clients and vendors on multiple lip-sync dubbing, voice-over and subtitling projects.• Ensuring that all databases were kept up to date and completing administrative tasks regularly to comply with the company’s standards.• Collecting QC reports and providing feedback to vendors to improve quality.• Escalating issues that may arise during the course of a project to a mentor.

My main responsabilities at Voice and Script International as a Project Coordinator Intern included:• Supporting the Broadcast team on multiple tasks for any ongoing projects in the department (trafficking materials, delivering files, updating schedules, etc.).• Checking the final materials prior to delivery (technical and/or linguistic quality checks of subtitles, audio files and video files with burnt-in graphics).• Providing feedback to teams in-territory and linguists to ensure that the quality standards are met.

My responsabilities during my work experience at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria included:• Transcribing and translating video-recorded Master’s lectures from Castilian Spanish into English by using SDL Trados 2015.• Proofreading translations.• Segmenting the text into subtitles and transferring them to the videos (spotting).
