Program Officer, Community & Volunteer Engagement Unit
CurrentAs Program Officer in the Community and Volunteer Engagement Unit, I contribute across multiple areas, leveraging my diverse skill set and passion for making a positive impact. I effectively communicate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. In this role, I am responsible for:• Event Management and Planning: In addition to hosting webinars, I played a pivotal role in the successful organization of the What Works Conference in Antigua, Guatemala, overseeing 170 participants, tracked registrations, implemented a marketing campaign, created and printed badges and certificates, and provided on-site support at the registration desk.• Communications and Marketing: I distribute a bimonthly member newsletter, reaching 7,000 members across the Americas. I also harness my creativity to design captivating graphics for communications, ensuring visually compelling content that resonates with our audience. Crafting engaging social media content is also a key component of my role.• Online Events Management: As webinar host and technical support, I ensure a professional experience for participants. I am involved at every step, from pre-event planning and promotion to post-event follow up with registrants.• Member Engagement and Support: I actively monitor and manage four inboxes, swiftly addressing member inquiries with professionalism and attentiveness. By offering timely and accurate responses, I strive to provide the highest quality of support to our members.• Efficiency Enhancement and Data Management: I proactively identify opportunities to streamline administrative procedures, optimizing efficiency and productivity. Through meticulous data management and advanced AMS database expertise, I ensure accurate reporting and maintain up-to-date membership information.• Website User Experience: I frequently update the membership website, leveraging my knowledge of HTML to create a better user experience.
