• Established Rough Draft Design as a small design firm, originally located in New Bern, NC. • Handled all aspects of running a small business including accounts payable and receivable.• Worked with clients to develop print media, created all design work, digital pre-press, and print coordination.• Clients included but not limited too: New Bern Chamber of Commerce, MyWebGrocer.com, The Atrium Retirement Communities, Pepsi Cola - New Bern, Edward Jones, Swiss Bear Downtown Redevelopment Corp., Carolina Bagel Company, Stubbs & Perdue, P.A., City of New Bern, Craven County Schools. DCP Music, New Bern Fire Department & Museum, HyTek Sport Software, Amicus Healthcare.

• Implemented computer design programs at Craven Community College: Computer Art 171 and Computer Art 271. • Established the curriculum, course goals and objectives. • Courses appealed highly to local business professionals and was approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement as a transfer credit to East Carolina University. • Set up first Macintosh computer lab at the college. Made recommendations on hardware and software purchases.

• Creation of design concepts from development to final production. • Initial client contact, design development, formal presentation, preparing of electronic files for pre-press imaging, print coordination, color proofing and client follow through.
