Civil Engineering Designer
CurrentAs a Civil Engineering Designer at the City of Adelaide, I am responsible for developing the design and modelling of civil infrastructure projects, focusing on drainage improvements, flood mitigation, and streetscape renewal across prominent locations, including Glen Osmond Road, Hutt Street, South Terrace, Pitt Street, O’Halloran Street, and Kingston Terrace. My work ensures that all projects align with Australian standards and the strategic objectives of the council.Key projects I have contributed to include the Main Street Revitalisation initiative, such as the Hutt Street Entry Statement, as well as multiple bikeway and footpath renewal projects. I collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality design solutions, while also providing peer review support for other design teams and assisting the construction team through site visits and hands-on guidance.Key responsibilities include:Collaborating with vendors to integrate innovative technologies into project designs.Standardising City of Adelaide documentation through the creation of templates and spreadsheets.Assisting the project delivery team with design implementation.Preparing comprehensive civil/structural design reports, presentations, and specifications.In this role, I also chair team meetings, coordinate actions, and work closely with asset managers, planners, traffic and transport engineers, landscape architects, and other key stakeholders to achieve seamless project delivery.
