With over 30 years of onstage and behind the scenes experience, Angie Kells is a strong character actress, featured vocalist, director, producer and choreographer. Her most recent onstage appearance was as Cookie in Neil Simon’s Rumors for TownSquare Players (TSP). Other onstage credits include: Mistress Page in Riverview Theatre Company’s Shakespeare in the Park production The Merry Wives of Windsor, Gabby/Bobbie in City of Angels (MOS), Lois/Bianca in Kiss Me Kate (WMTC), Kay in The Taffetas (White Pines), Maude in Music Man (TSP), Belinda/Flavia in Noises Off (WMTC), Fruma Sarah in Fiddler on the Roof (WMTC), and Connie in A Chorus Line (TSP). Angie’s directorial highlights include: It’s a Wonderful Life, the Radio Play, Urinetown, The Woman in Black, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged, Born Yesterday, Arabian Nights, The 39 Steps, Pirates of Penzance and The Three Musketeers. Formerly the executive artistic director for the non-profit Riverview Theatre Company and since stepping down as Drama Director for McHenry High School West Campus, Angie looks forward to more onstage time in front of the curtain and branching out to work with a variety of theatre companies in the Chicagoland area.
