• Cataloguing, documenting, researching and tracking artwork that arrives at Deutscher and Hackett.• Preparing and sending correspondence relating to condition report requests and consignment agreements.• Organising transport, conservation and logistics associated directly with artwork.• Managing shared spread sheets and the catalogue database, exporting documents.• Writing catalogue essays for artworks.

• Manage the collections database, updating records, loans and acquisitions• Digitising the collections, photograph and edit items in the collection and upload onto the database• Monitor the environmental controls in the exhibition spaces and storage rooms, ensuring temperature and relative humidity is maintained at industry standards.• Exhibition Installation• Curate small displays and collection based temporary exhibitions• Loans administration, coordinating transport of objects and artworks, and condition reporting.• Updating the Museum’s social media sites.

• Refresh and revise current core exhibition displays• Research and curate stories for particular areas of the core exhibition display• Write and design interpretive labels • Select and install collection objects for changeover of core exhibition displays• Assist the Senior Curator with collection and exhibition tasks as requested

• Assist with the administration of collection records related to registration, insurance, loans, research inquiries and copyright• Art handling• Assist with the storage of the collection and loaned artworks• Undertake the display of the Gallery’s collection and other exhibits• Develop and implement a program of exhibitions for presentation in the Alan Lane Community Gallery and George Lance Gallery• Assist the Curator with the presentation of a program of exhibitions in the Temporary Exhibition Gallery, and other areas within and external to the Gallery• Perform reception and front of house duties as requested by the Gallery Director• Prepare areas for events and assist with presentation of public program activities• Design and produce catalogues, invitations and flyers as required for exhibitions and public program events

• Researching and purchasing images for Madame Tussauds figure production • Creating maintenance files and liaising with departments involved in the production of the wax attractions• Research and caption writing• Filing, archiving and preparing images for PR use• Responding to external requests and liaising with picture agencies

• Assisting with installation and de-installation of the travelling exhibition at various venues across the UK• Working efficiently in a team with shared responsibilities to meet strict deadlines• Following specific and technical instructions• Using tools and heavy lifting to build displays• Handling valuable artefacts.
