I have been a practicing attorney for over twenty-five years. Since 2000, I have been a solo-practitioner and have focused on the area of criminal law since 2003. I have represented defendants charged with a wide variety of crimes and violations. I have handled appeals to the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals and the Alabama Supreme Court. I have worked in juvenile court and also in family court dealing with juvenile issues. I had an article published in 2001 in a national magazine and I have written the handout for a continuing legal education class. Most importantly, I have tried many cases. I understand from a practical perspective what it takes from the law enforcement side to make a solid case and I understand where reasonable doubt can be interjected into a case that looks impenetrable.
