I started working at the age of 16 at the local Dairy Queen in Orangeville, CA. While there I was offered a job at the Outlet Mall in Folsom, CA as a sales associate. During this same time I was doing in home care for an elderly friend of the family for several years. I enjoyed taking care of our friend so much that I decided to become a CNA. As a CNA I worked for St. Luke Manor in Fortuna, CA. Unfortunately while working there I injured my back and was no longer able to do what I loved. I then started early childhood education classes at College of the Redwoods. Before finishing my AS in ECE I moved to Happy Camp, Ca. and stared working for Siskiyou County's office of Education as an in home educator for Early Head Start. Due to a family members terminal illness I quit working so I could help care for him. After his death I focused on home schooling my 5 children up until last year when I took on a janitorial job in the evenings until my family moved to Yreka, CA.
