This position was originally established by the CPUC, and is now overseen by CivicWell with sponsorship from Regional Energy Networks (REN) and other organizations. The goal of this position is to coordinate with California local governments and relevant agencies to compile, share, and receive feedback on information that helps local governments achieve near- and long-term EE savings in alignment with State climate and energy goals. I perform this role on a part-time consulting basis.

I am teaching a course called Energy Sources, Uses, and Impacts. COURSE DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this course is to provide a general understanding ofsources, uses and societal impacts associated with energy. It will seek to answer the followingquestions: where does our energy come from, what forms does it take, how is used, and what isthe effect on people, the environment and the economy. We will learn from trends, policies,conflicts and practices happening locally, statewide, nationally and internationally thatdemonstrate challenges or promising advances related to energy use. The course will exploreways that students can improve their daily personal relationship with energy, along withopportunities to improve society’s long term relationship with energy.COURSE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Upon course completion, students will attain a basiclevel of “Energy Literacy,” or working knowledge about energy sources and uses and practicaltools for making changes in their life, in their communities and in their careers.

- Offered a position in Housing and Community Development to continue work on emPowerSBC and the Economic Recovery Team, and also completed an evaluation on tenant and landlord rights. - Promoted to Senior Housing Specialist with additional responsibilities to manage staff, engage in departmental management (personnel, budget and performance measures), and evaluate and coordinate the County's involvement other economic development activities, including two new Tourism Business Improvement Districts.
