I manage all things benefits, in addition to supervising a Payroll Coordinator, for a roughly 400-person firm. I am part of the firm's retirement plan fiduciary committee, and head up the annual plan audit. I manage the annual renewals with insurance carriers, and most recently, assisted in the analysis, selection and implementation of a new medical insurance carrier. I head up the open enrollment process each year by working with our brokers to ensure all employee resources are updated, and I host an all-office meeting at which benefits are presented to staff. In addition to insurance, I am constantly revisiting firm policies related to leave to ensure federal and state compliance. I continue to oversee payroll, ensuring that we are remaining compliant, while at the same time working as efficiently as possible. I engaged a company for Employer of Record Services so that we may utilize international staff. I am currently working to implement global payroll and am developing my knowledge base surrounding payroll in Canada and Mexico.
