Declared “best bar in the country” by Esquire Magazine, Bryant’s Cocktail Lounge is Milwaukee’s oldest and longest running cocktail lounge. With zero drink menu available to customers, Bryant’s bartenders are each customer’s personal beverage encyclopedias, encouraging drink selection catered to the individual and creating an experience second to none. Having zero previous experience in the craft cocktail business, I took it upon myself to take what I had learned at Thief and apply that in this exciting new opportunity that was presented to me. Having added a few of my own creations to the Bryant’s rolodex, I can honestly say that when it comes to a personalized cocktail experience, there is nothing like Bryant’s anywhere. - Regular duties: customer service, tending bar, serving beverages, customer beverage education and creation, spirit research and development, stocking and inventory, and staff enrichment and training.

Boasting the “best wine list in the city” according to the Shepherd Express, Thief Wine Shop & Bar offers an extensive by the glass list of wines that frequently rotate along with a retail area offering hundreds of wines, spirits and beer. Between Thief’s two locations, I gained experience selling and serving high quality wine and spirits in a calm, relaxed environment at their Shorewood location and how to handle an extremely high-paced bar environment as well as heavy retail demands at their Milwaukee Public Market location. Excellent customer service underscored all of these experiences and assisted in my developing wonderful customer relations and rapport. - Regular duties: customer service, tending bar, serving food and beverage, pairing food and wine (both in retail and at the bar), retail wine sales, customer beverage education, stocking and inventory, and assisting in facilitating wine tastings and off-site events.

Facilitated networking events accommodating up to 300 guests and also arranged intimate parties and meetings in the Lounge and Espresso/Wine Bar areas.

Functioned as Lead Concierge, handling the day-to-day operations for their co-working space and memberships. Day-to-day operations included customer service, technical assistance, office administration, barista and bar support, event assistance, social media marketing, community development, lead development and positive morale facilitator.

Spent most of my young career as a professional opera singer. In addition, I also taught private voice lessons for a number of years. A simple google or youtube search will point you in the right direction of reviews, videos, images of my career. Just ignore the other Angela Kloc who was arrested in Florida and has rather homely mugshots.

One of four team members working with Angela Myles Beeching and Alain Barker to develop and create a new career resource department at the Indiana University JSoM. Daily tasks included wide and varied including graphic designing, video editing, website development, and data analysis. This position developed my knowledge and experience with career resource development and marketing and publicity strategies.

Functioned as the teaching assistant to the undergraduate level song literature courses. Helped facilitate the day-to-day needs of the course including grading, photocopying, word processing, etc.

Was one of the largest contributors and developers of the Oberlin Folk Song Index containing over 62,000 entries and 2,400 anthologies. Completed high volume data entry of folk song anthology content to the conservatory library’s newest database. Learned how to enter and catalog library materials and increased typing speed.

Assisted patrons in locating assorted library materials and maintained basic functions of reference department. Had to complete an extensive training course in using reference materials to locate items and information.

Was one of the longest standing and most reliable musicology tutors, assisting students with coursework as well as assisting professors in class preparations and library research. Tutored students privately who requested extra assistance in Musicology courses (survey and seminarlevels) through the college.

Held one of two prestigious teaching assistant positions in the OberlinMusicology department for the largest lecture course in the school (approximately 200 students per year). Graded quizzes and tests for Music History 101 class. Ran weekly review labs to repeat and clarify material and also to answer questions.

Assisted patrons in returning and checking out library materials. Managed reserve materials for professors. Shelved books and media materials. Assisted in OhioLink and ILL requests. Also supervised and trained fellow employees.
