Provide consulting services for oncology pharmacy and therapeutics committees when neededProvide formulary expertise based current literatureReview medication costs for formulary additions

• Preceptor general medicine, oncology practice, palliative care, and medicine rounding for pharmacy residents and 4th year students. • Work closely with physicians to review, discuss and recommend pharmacologic therapy based on guidelines and primary literature for patients receiving chemotherapy • Educate physicians, nursing and pharmacists on best practices for medical management of acutely ill oncology patients• Discuss diet, medication regimen and medication adverse effects with patients• Manage parenteral nutrition for nutrition support service• Review and discuss antimicrobial therapy selection with patient care team • Assist with Ascension Therapeutic Affinity Group initiatives for oncology formulary streamlining• Provide education on cardiovascular medicines to post MI patients in cardiac rehabilitation classes• Education facilitator for pharmacist education during “Wisdom Wednesday” continuing education sessions• Provide pharmacy resident and pharmacy student education in areas of drug kinetics, formulary choice, and therapeutic interchange
