WordCamp Columbus is an annual conference for users and developers of the open-source software WordPress. Since 2011, I have directed the technology conference in Columbus, Ohio which attracts over 250 attendees. My responsibilities for the conference include recruiting and vetting speakers, volunteers, sponsors, attendees, primarily managing the websites and social media accounts for the conference, and communicating with the parent organization of the conference (Wordcamp.org).

I helped small business capture sales using custom built WordPress websites and email marketing.

Served as media liaison for MRDS Halabja, a short-term humanitarian relief and development effort in the Kurdish region of northern Iraq.+ Coordinated local newspapers and television presence and interviews during projects; arranged staff photographers for projects and reviewed photographs after events for publication; interviewed project directors for articles later distributed to home office in Houston, TX. + Acted as project director for “Homeruns in Halabja”, a Baseball Camp serving over 60 Iraqi children, which involved coordinating international staff, international and local vendors, and overseeing $10K budget.

Administrated outreach, teaching and pastoral care for 60-member high school ministry and directed over 80 volunteers in Hospitality for a church over 1200 people. + Implemented process for accurately tracking visitors and interest in church life including database management + Managed annual budget of $11K.

Responsible for administration and team building related to attracting and retaining guests. + Researched and successfully transferred database of over 1000 congregants to new database. + Managed production schedules for publications and presentations.
