About Angela Quick
I began my banking career in 2008 in Birmingham, Alabama with Wachovia Bank as a Licensed Financial Specialist, which migrated to the licensed Personal Banker 2 role after the merger with Wells Fargo. Shortly after I became a Service Manager and later a Branch Manager. Having the opportunity to work in the various roles of the branch has given me tremendous experience to gain knowledge and appreciation for what we do for our customers as well as team members every day. I must admit, my most challenging role was a that of the service manager, in which I managed tellers and was responsible for branch operations, because I started without ever being a teller and had to quickly acclimate myself with the teller system and all operations of the branch. My defining moment was when my branch had our annual audit not long after I took the role and we failed. At the time I was acting branch manager, too. I was quite new to both roles but the branch was mine. I cried all the way home and promised myself it would never happen again. I made it my purpose to become the expert in everything operations and applying my knowledge as a banker to tie it together so compliance would make sense to the entire team. Over a matter of months I became a top performing service manager and was a great operational resource for other team members my branch and others. Since then, I have been a branch manager at supporting multiple locations in Birmingham and have had the pleasure of working with diverse team members and servicing a dynamic customer base. I have coached and developed teams and have seen the results of my efforts evidenced in team member promotions and great service scores. In my current role as a Senior Premier Banker I provide branch leadership by giving guidance to other branch employees on developing relationships and managing moderately complex to complex client needs. I also serve as a liaison between wealth management and branch banking for affluent clients.My passion is split between team member development and compliance in operations.
