Most customers were SME contractors in the Construction and Building Services sectors. It also had select key customers from the Utilities, Facilities Management and Civils sectors. There were over 900 hundred employees and c30,000 account customers and a further 10% through cash (consumer) transactions. Until exit to Vp plc in November 2017, reported to the CEO whilst working closely with other Directors. In conjunction with the Group Operations Director and his regional team I developed customer service excellence, revenue growth and cost reduction across the network. I also work extensively with the Group Finance Director on key commercial deliverables – pricing, discounts, debt management and margin enhancement projects. Given the seniority of my role and the agile nature of private equity invested businesses, I have taken a hands-on approach to HR, supplier relations and the introduction of new products. I was extensively involved in direct customer marketing. Role overview:Position the business for exit: driving revenue and EBITDA by improving cash performance and cutting costs wherever possible.
