This was a leadership and engineering position with the Infrastructure Specialists leading the project workspace. This involved various stakeholder and vendor engagement.Highlight• Implementing Service Now at Kainga Ora from the discovery phase all the way through to going live.I stepped up to lead the project when a colleague had to unexpectedly go on long-term leave. Myleadership of this project ensured we were able to meet our deadlines for delivery. I assisted to build a business unit from the ground up at the Venture Capital studio Paloma, well known for spinning out platforms such as Afterpay, Runn and Authsignal. I developed comprehensive system frameworks and procedural guidelines for Paloma, including privacy, security, and operational functions within the newly formed workplace systems business unit.Highlight • Setting up business systems and procedures for spin off startups, including ensuring processes and systems are in place to allow ventures to grow at scale. I was situated in the fast-paced Clemenger BBDO Wellington team. This was a critical, high-pressure role as I was the only engineer located in Wellington, with the head office located in Auckland. Clemenger produced work such as the COVID-19 marketing and communications content for the New Zealand government. STA Travel was one of the best roles I had ever been in. This was all down to the team culture that was built around our leaders. With northern hemisphere head office located in London and southern in Melbourne, STA Travel had offices and stores all over the world. I was the Site Engineer that would provide BAU and Project support to those stores and Offices. Provided support for the MYOB products in the beginning, then moving to the service desk for internal IT support. The team was fantastic and gave me a shot to show what I could do. Highlight • Helping people with both financial and technical issues at the same time allowed me to learn to be patient and listen. Things can get frustrating when dealing with technology and most of the time people just want to be doing a good job. Seeing and hearing results and stress lifted gave me the bug of wanting to support people.
