As a Head of Product Design, I’m responsible for driving Nedbank’s customer and design strategy across a design function or a highly complex strategic area in the organisation. I act as a thought partner to senior business leaders in formulating a customer experience strategy and ensures customer thinking is embedded in all decision making. As a Senior Design Director, I oversee the multiple design projects in my business area and ensure they deliver coherent, world-class customer experience aligned to the business strategy and needs.Being an expert in the field of design I’m able to provide consistently excellent and creative design solutions. With a track record of driving development and implementation of business strategy through design decisions and providing insights and direction to the business at senior levels. I’m an experienced people leader, who can oversee multiple large projects simultaneously and passionate about high-quality customer design and developing the skills and capabilities of the people in my organisation.What I do:- Lead product design teams by providing guidance, oversight, and mentorship to the teams- Partner with cross functional directors and evolve product development process- Work closely with other design directors to advance patterns and standards and encourage collaboration- Motivate the team to create designs that constantly push boundaries to keep Nedbank at the forefront of UX design- Set expectations, and help promote a fun, highly collaborative team culture
