My undergraduate and Honours degrees in environmental policy and management have given me a strong theoretical appreciation of environmental issues and how these can be addressed. During my undergraduate degree, I spent 6-months as an intern with Green Adelaide's South Australian Urban Food Network, a position in which I developed a report on collective action, managed multiple social media pages and independently organised an industry panel event called Food for Thought. I wrote my Honours' thesis on a prominent alternative food system in South Australia based on a series of survey and interview responses from local participants. I recently completed a Graduate Diploma of Urban Horticulture with First Class Honours at the University of Melbourne to further my understanding of practical landscape management practices. At the same time, I worked as a casual garden-hand for a private garden maintenance company. This provided invaluable insight into the horticulture industry and small business ownership.
