The Quake CoRE Scholarship Programme is a summer programme which looks to train undergraduate students in research processes while undertaking earthquake-related projects. This role was a fixed-term contract, working in Córdoba, Spain as a teaching assistant. This job introduced me to the professional working world within education and learning, helping me to better understand work hierarchies and the internal structures within a workplace. I also learnt how to communicate with a range of learning styles and personalities, strengthening my understanding of my strengths and weaknesses when dealing with different people.The teaching was rewarding and I found the connections that I made both with the teachers and the students all made up for the steep learning curve.
