Construction Manager for 2 Windsor Energy De-Carbonisation projects.In order to meet net zero targets many producers are looking to replace or minimize the use of traditional Coal and Lignite fired boiler units, for these projects the clients have selected state of the art Electrode Boiler Technology. AIL has been engaged to manage the installation of an 8mW LP saturated steam unit providing thermal energy to a client in the wool processing industry and another 20mW HP saturated steam unit providing thermal energy in the dairy industry.AIL scope for these projects, is to seamlessly integrate into the Windsor Energy project team and co-ordinate the site based construction activities through all aspects of brownfield construction from civil construction through to mechanical completion.

Project Management and related disciplines.Ballance Agri-Nutrience operate the only Ammonia-Urea manufacturing plant in NZ, AIL have been engaged to complement the site Maintenance and Engineering teams to assist with preventative maintenance and refurbishment projects. Over the years the scope of work has been varied with some projects requiring full management of all project phases, from concept to completion. Other projects require resourcing to fill a specialist role within a larger project team.Current project involvement includes the role of Turnaround Area Team Leader - Reformers, with responsibility for planning and execution phases of the major maintenance activities during past TA's - TA2019, 2021 and also the upcoming TA scheduled for TA2024. Examples of project involvement as follows; - Major repairs to radiant and convection section casing panels due to hotspot damage.- Brickwork and monolithic refractory replacement.- Insulation upgrades from traditional layered blanket to Pyrobloc and Ceramic Fibre Modules.- Incoloy 800H Pigtail failure RCA and subsequent replacement plan.- Inco 800H Orbital Welding and 920DegC PWHT R&D and Execution- 2020 Secondary Reformer shell rupture - Emergency shell strake replacement, with automated cutting and FCAW procedures. followed by 650DegC vessel PWHT and Refractory repairs.- Secondary Reformer failure RCA and permanent repair planning and execution during TA2021.- TA2021 - Replacement of ceramic catalyst support dome and full vessel refractory reline.Additional scope for TA2024 to include repairs to Amine system equipment which requires development of task specific WPS in order to eliminate requirements for PWHT.
