Software Lead / Senior Technical AdviserEcopilot Canada / Usa Jul 2018 - PresentHalifax, Canada AreaI am responsible for coordinating installing and commissioning of Eco-Pilot building automation optimization software and equipment. My duties include but are not limited to the assessment of building and building HVAC equipment to determine what systems are viable for an EcoPilot adaptation. I create scope of work packages including sequence of operation and points lists to guide BAS contractors in quoting EcoPilot adaptation work. I write and install point communication software to allow BACnet and/or Modbus communication with the building’s existing building automation system. I point to point commission and function test each systems integration after the BAS contractor has adapted to their existing programming. I provide technical information to the BAS contractor upon request. I provide building facilities staff EcoPilot software training. I am their service contact if they have any HVAC issues to help them determine what the problem is and how to solve it. I put together cost packages for our sales staff including building energy consumption and cost, along with installation cost to help provide the return on investment of the EcoPilot installation in each building. I project manage EcoPilot installations, coordinating parts orders and physical installations of equipment with sub-contractors and customers. After installation I provide operational assessments to determine any pre-existing HVAC equipment or programming issues. My duties include and are not limited to: Evaluating and structuring of software to existing building automation systems. Providing technical assistance and expertise to the sales and estimation team. Integrating, adapting and recommissioning of building automation systems. Providing end user with training and technical service and assistance. Co-ordinating with Building Automation Contractors in planning and executing of site installations. -
