I am an Asset Management Strategic Analyst working in one of the 10 transformation Initiatives Scottish Water is going through, in order to change how the company manages its assets.I am currently supporting an initiative that is working on creating a more robust capital investment framework for Scottish Water. This framework's goal is to create a more financially sustainable model for Scottish Water, providing scenarios realistic scenarios for the next 25 years; how can we increase our services in a +2 degree world, a second pandemic, economic crises etc.The other side of my role is to support the maturity of Asset Management within Scottish Water, including carrying out maturity assessments, reviewing documentation like the Asset Management Policy & Strategy, and creating route maps for how the organisation can achieve its Asset Management goals.

I joined the Lothian 3 Wastewater team in early 2020, after initial training I became responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and improving all WWPS within the Lothian 3 catchment. I do this by regular fault finding and data collecting, before reporting my analysis and recommendations to my team leader.I manage and prioritize projects relating to my assets, all while adhering to other relevant business deadlines to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction to the area. I do this by regular communication and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as E&M, WGM, Xylem and the SW Data analyst team. Although pumping stations are my focus, I also support the treatment and network assets and operators within the area. I have recently been acting up as a senior op, as well as becoming the wellbeing rep and bathing water champion.

After completing 32 weeks of basic training at Commando Training Centre Lympstone I was deployed to Faslane where I was directly involved in the transportation, guarding and readiness of the UK’s Nuclear deterrent. While at Faslane I was handpicked to go on a CQM course to the USA and train with the USMC.In 2017 I specialized in the Heavy Weapons Mortar branch and was posted to RM Condor. Over the next year I was promoted to be the head of a Mortar crew and deployed on several large-scale exercises in the US, Western Europe, and Baltic states. During these deployments I managed and developed my mortar crew, all while adhering to operational tasks and deadlines.
