Many people ask me ‘why did you do it, Block Management is a nightmare’; well that depends upon your attitude to doing it.Having founded Salisbury Block Management Ltd in Spring 2012 I quickly came to realise that Block Management is not difficult if you deliver your promise and take time to get to know your clients, their tenants and letting agents.It appears Salisbury Block Management must be doing something very wrong by visiting their blocks every month, getting to know residents and lessees names, knowing who works on shift patterns, dealing with junk mail, pulling weeds, replacing light bulbs, straightening bins in stores, removing abandoned items, dealing with neighbouring properties and hedges, chasing abandoned, ‘SORN’ & fly parked cars, testing alarms and door entry systems. And then there’s obtaining best price insurance, electricity, window cleaning, etc. visiting residents with problems, dealing with utility debt letters & bailiffs. We also cut grass, spray weeds, and coordinate communal gardening projects.That is after we have also undertaken all the expected fiscal, management and compliance duties a Block Manager receives their fee for!Or could we just sit in the office and just visit once a year?Specialties: Residential Block Management and Facilities Management.
