Risk management is all about helping you to identifying and quantifying the risk as the first step, and to let me know which is most important to you..We then consider what are the appropriate strategies - to self insure, have reserve assets or look to insure the risk.Importantly, we consider the time frame that you face a particular risk - maybe a 30 year mortgage, a 5 year vendor finance period or raising children to financial independence? What are the lifetime costs of the various alternatives? We can then look at addressing those distinct risks over the appropriate time frame and agree an appropriate strategy. Importantly, we want your agreement and understanding of why we have suggested the strategy and your buy in to the time frame.
