On my very first day working in the whisky industry, I was handed a cask valinched sample of 19 year old Lagavulin from a 1st fill sherry cask, then left alone, to sit in the cool air of the dunnage warehouse, perched on the edge of 39 year old cask of Glenury Royal. When I took my first sip, I became fully aware that, A) I was truly, deeply privileged to be where I was and B) That I wanted to be involved in the whisky industry for the rest of my working life. I have spent every single working day since trying to develop my knowledge and understanding of the science, art, and skill involved in the whisky industry as a whole.angusupton@gmail.com
