Friendly Rides & Guides is a Lantau based riding and coaching company here to support your development and journey to success!​Setup and run by Lantau Island Adventures Ltd, we are here to provide a fun and safe outdoor experience for all ages.​Whether you want to learn the basics so that you feel more confident on your mountain bike, improve your jumps and drops or master technical terrain we have you covered​Have fun achieving your goals, safely stepping up your game, and picking up the perfect techniques to bring your riding to the next level.​The quality of mountain bike lessons and tours within the industry relies heavily on the training and knowledge of the Instructors and Guides, who lead these services. As a result we can provide our coaching services through a certified Professional Mountain Bike Instructor (PMBIA) here in Hong Kong. Regardless of what people ride, where they ride or how they ride, teaching with the PMBIA’s Six Skill System and proven teaching methodologies, allows an Instructor to safely and effectively progress any student, in any environment.

- Work with the Ark Eden team, to define & acquire project needs, including resources, equipment and infrastructure - In cooperation with the Project Designer and other senior staff, subsequently develop and implement new and/or revised strategies to enhance the sites facilities and programs to ensure operational excellence.-Define and develop relationship and integration of elements within the project- Ensure all tasks are implemented in accordance with project plan- Oversee and manage on-site staff and volunteers who are involved in aspects of the site management and development- Ensure any difficulties with plan execution are identified early and contingency plans implemented- Ensure development of Eden Rock and Ark Eden site based on project plan, including management of resources- Establish and implement SOP for site and resource maintenance. - Develop maintenance timelines for upkeep of tools, resources, appliances, building maintenance, tree planting sites and other areas of the site.- Oversee job expectations with management team; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions- In cooperation with the Project Designer contribute to the processes for recruitment, training, payroll, scheduling and discipline of employees- Deliver financial operations forecast; prepare an annual budget for the following; scheduled expenditures; site maintenance/new project costs, expected/actual programme staffing cost, initiating corrective actions- Manage relationships with other outdoors educator vendors and create/manage staff share programmes - Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures - Responsible for all company billing - Establish and manage staff levels/roles, payroll systems, hours, subcontracted labor for site projects- Responsible for payroll, MPF, health benefits and insurance for all staff at Ark Eden as well as subcontracted workers.

I have worked in a positive, confident and friendly manor when carrying out door to door fundraising around parts of the UK. I provided good interpersonal and communication skills when running fundraising campaigns. I worked effectively and efficiently with a team of five fundraisers to achieve targets and help raise awareness and donations for WWF and Care International.

During my time within Ark Eden I delivered group activities to educate children on the importance of sustainability and environmental awareness. These workshops included the education of sustainability systems in the form of: building, water, living, energy, sustainable lifestyle, waste and water systems. I carried out workshops with primary, secondary and university students. I have been required to facilitate pupils to aquire, develop and establish a better understanding about current environmental isses and what sustainability programs they can implement in the future. I have supported in the creation of a network of eco-facilities territory-wide to provide fieldtrips and outdoor classroom settings for students. I have also supported the running and organisation of camps and eco tours for primary and secondary school students. This included the supervision of night camps and activities and the deliverance of day workshops. During 2012/2013 I have helped support, deliver and develop coorporate social responsibilty workshops. These workshops include the organisation and delivery of tree planting campaigns with companies such as Bloomberg, HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank. I have also assisted in the running of the 2012 Englsih Schools Foundation Environmental Conference. This included supporting workshops, assisting in different activities, front of house and helping events run smoothly.

I have coached primary school students from the ages of 8-13. I have been required to educate students in orderd for them to aquire, develop and apply a varriety of skills, tactics and compositional ideas, as individuals and part of a team. I have created new and tailored alreay succesful lesson plans in accordance with coaching practices to develop a fun and educational training for different ages and abilities. I have worked with coaching professionals and athletes by sharing and collaborating teaching techniques and practices which are succesful for educational purposes. My ability to work with younger ages has established a better understanding of adapting teaching techniques according to individual abilities.

I assisted in the sales of bicycles and equipment to customers as well as market research into future products. I provided essential information regarding bicycle specifications, key facts, recommendations for equipment and helpful links to trail within the area.This work also included repair, renting, maintenance and building of bicycles. Also I supported in the preperation, delivery and maintenance of race bikes for several Action Asia events. These events had roughly over 150 competitors per event who participated in both biathlon and triathlon events around Hong Kong.
