The Sales & Marketing Director role is a statutory Board position, responsible for the commercial strategy and development of the business, with the ultimate objective of driving profitable growth and market share.Drive and implement a fundamental review of the Sales and Marketing Strategy to ensure delivery of the Five Year Plan. Proactively and responsibly manage financial budgets to deliver required EBITDA.Support the transition from a business unit based organisational structure to a functionally aligned model, by creating a cohesive, optimised, common commercial engine, encompassing marketing, sales, customer service and front-end supply chain activities.Generate and implement long term sales and market development strategy for all products. This includes: improving margin, maximising volume and growing sales into high value applications/sectors. Set pricing strategy and take direct ownership of contract negotiations with strategic accounts.Put customer service at the heart of the function’s sphere of activity – maximising profitability, efficiency and deliverability that puts the business ahead of competitors.Drive digitisation initiatives aimed at automating processes, delivering efficiencies and improving service.Work with the Operations Director to ensure seamless co-operation and resolution of challenges, while maximising value across the wider business.Responsibility for key succession planning processes, training, implementation of HR policy and procedures.
