Hydrogen Economy - Regulatory PriorityLeading on the design of the onshore non-economic regulatory framework for hydrogen. Secretariat lead for the UK Hydrogen Regulators Forum.

• Provided research assistance for Dr. Robert Bothwell’s publication on international uranium trade.• Contributed and analyzed research material from archival collections used in an upcoming article on Canada’s nuclear history and policy.• Researched international trade relations through collections of microfilm, government documents, newspapers and magazines in English, French, and Dutch sources for a book project.• Coordinated with a team of 5 research assistants to identify and maximize research efficiency.

Worked on a project with Dr. Timothy Sayle concerning American-British-Canadian Cold War intelligence history. My work also contributed to the resources in Canada Declassified, a digital repository for declassified Canadian files, through the development of electronic briefing books. Other tasks included:• Analyzed Cabinet minutes, memoranda, and intelligence reports from the Canadian government’s digital archives to extract critical information for the publication’s draft chapters.• Managed the research team’s efforts to design 4 briefing book projects documenting the long-term transformation of Canadian and British intelligence assessments on Soviet capabilities.• Summarized key findings on policy changes in under-researched topics through brief reports.• Provided research and copy-editing support for a 2020 publication on NATO nuclear policy.

Worked with Dr. Amanda Sheely in the Department of Social Policy to examine the administration and implementation of welfare and probation programs in Los Angeles County in historical and contemporary contexts. Duties included:• Prepared research briefs analyzing government supervision and policy implementation of general welfare, child welfare, and probation programs in Los Angeles County.• Identified key programs, policy processes, and connections amongst different municipal-level government departments to develop a robust understanding of welfare and probation programs. • Collected and reviewed relative policy documents to develop a database for further analysis.

HY400 - Crisis Decision-Making in War and Peace 1914-2003• Moderated 15 participants in live discussion by integrating online student contributions.• Facilitated participation cohesion in a hybrid classroom through active debate amongst students.• Developed a seminar model through the incorporation of oral and textual mediums to promote live discussion through two simultaneous channels.

• Drafted and researched a policy backgrounder on Canadian energy policy and energy security.• Identified local and national partners to diversify granting projects and initiatives in accordance with the Foundation’s charitable interests and core values.• Prepared a statistical and textual history of the Foundation’s contributions to Canada-U.S charitable projects to document granting patterns.• Delivered long-term goal and priority recommendations for over $3,000,000 in annual granting using 50 years of the Foundation’s reports, statistics, and granting history.

• Assisted Dr. Ronald Pruessen by creating qualitative and quantitative research reports for his writing project regarding U.S war experiences.• Produced research reports examining the history of U.S private security contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2001 – 2017 and their relationship/impact on American military strategy.• Analyzed trends, military budgets, and military logistics from 2003 – 2015 based on U.S Department of Defense contractor data to create a timeline of security contractor usage.• Evaluated the influence of private defence, technology, and intelligence R&D firms on American military strategy.
