About Albus Duc Hoang (Phd., Csml)

Dr Duc Hoang (Albus) is a research fellow at RMIT University, former Founding Director of Vietnam’s EdLab Asia, and Director-General of the Sky-Line School system. His core proficiency lies in driving educational management, educational policy, curriculum renovation, teaching and learning methods. He also serves as an Editorial Member for several journals such as The Learning Organisation, Journal of Comparative and International Higher Education, and PLOS One. He is also a Seasonal Advisory Member of the British Council Vietnam, a member of the Australia-Vietnam Leadership Dialogue, the British Council’s Future Leader Network, Vice-President of the Global Young Vietnamese Scholar Network, an Academy Member of HundrED, Deputy Country Director of STAR Scholar Network, an active member of NAFSA and other youth networks. Besides academic research and management, he also initiated several community projects that foster learning opportunities for teachers, young researchers and activists, such as the “Co-learning MOOCs platform”, and the Vietnam Symposium of Development.As the Former Director and principal of Teaching and Learning at EdLab Asia Educational Research & Development Center, he worked together with the Ministry of Education and Training, the National Assembly, and international NGOs (UNICEF, UNESCO), strategically crafted and revised key educational legislations, including the Vietnam Education Law 2019 and the Digital Competency Framework. He also joined the National Digital Transformation Taskforce in 2020, implementing measures to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education. EdLab has been recognized as one of the "Best New Global Think Tanks 2020" by the University of Pennsylvania. His leadership style is marked by a commitment to equity, fostering growth, and excellence. Additionally, my multifaceted media presence, including TV, newspapers, magazines, TEDx talks, and podcasts, amplifies the reach and impact of educational initiatives.Dr Hoang completed his PhD at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), with a thesis focused on Knowledge Management and Educational Leadership: "School As Learning Organisations: The Influence of Educational Leadership, Organisational Knowledge Circulation, and School Culture Over Teachers’ Job Satisfaction in Vietnamese K-12 Schools".
