I am a hardworking, motivated, forward thinking, innovative Chartered Engineer who has over 25 years of multi-disciplinary railway system experience, working both as a Project Manager and Project Engineer. I have full project life cycle experience, from contract bidding, to scheme design, procurement, factory acceptance testing, construction/installation, site acceptance testing, commissioning, completion and hand back has meant the successful delivery on both heavy and light rail projects in the UK and overseas. I work collaboratively with design, construction, operational and maintenance disciplines in order to deliver integrated systems. Whilst I have mainly been involved in telecom systems, which includes transmission, SCADA, CCTV, PA, telephony, help points, radio and fare collection (Ops Comms and SISS), the very nature of telecoms means close working with other key railway disciplines. This includes signaling, E&P, civil engineering, electrification, permanent way and rolling stock. This understanding of other disciplines, as well as Smart Managed Motorways, has enabled me to have a holistic and inclusive view of the system I am work on. I am adept at working with and communicating across a variety of engineering and management disciplines as well as alliance partners and sub-contractors using good inter-personal communication to deliver successful results. I am commercially focused, with an eye on the budget, ways to work smarter, leaner with a keen sense of business development, including the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities.
