Ani Khachadourian is a English Teaching Assistant at The Fulbright Program. Her interests lie in Water Resources, GSI, and Stormwater Management. Ani’s elected area of study is driven by a passion for environmental leadership tied to sensible, sustainable practices grounded in sound environmental science, leading to effective engineered solutions. She has taken one course of mine, CE 322, which focused on the mechanics of performing an Environmental Site Assessment on commercial real estate. Ani is actively pursuing opportunities to develop her skills in sustainability and the built environment. I write my recommendation based on my personal interactions and teaching and mentorship relationships. Throughout Ani’s career at Lafayette, she has worked hard at her academic and scholarly pursuits, maintaining a respectable 3.62/4.00 GPA. In class, I found her to be a serious student, always prompt, engaged, and armed with great questions. She did a great job meeting deadlines, and Ani’s assignments were always completed excellently. A unique trademark of Lafayette students is their extensive involvement in extracurricular activities. Ani is no exception; as one reviews her resume, it is noteworthy to point out that she strives for excellence outside of the classroom through her involvement in sports as a Division I Student-Athlete. An example of Ani’s academic prowess can be drawn from her and her partner’s semester-long project in CE 322. Throughout the semester, students in the class paired up and worked to perform Phase I reviews on commercial properties throughout the Easton, PA, area. She and her partner, Jillian Landon ‘25, regularly stopped by my office for guidance. Although all ESA groups were advised to seek feedback and guidance on their investigations throughout the semester, Ani and Jillian’s group was the only one to do so. They were such a great pair to work with; not only did they bring their A-game to the table each time we talked outside the classroom with excellent questions and thoughtful insight, but they also responded very well to suggestions and constructive criticism. So much so that their Phase I Report was the best in the class. I am pleased to champion Ms. Ani Khachadourian ‘25.
