 Provide leadership and direction to designated pharmacy employees including evaluating and coaching. Participate in pharmacy acquisitions, relocations and execute “special projects” to increase Rx volume in problem stores. Expertise in blending pharmacy services with management, administrative and counseling experience in retail and institutional setting.  Perform trouble shooting functions for third party discrepancies and other prescription filling issues.  Accountable for department fiscal outcomes. Encourage and support continuing education for staff. Develop and implement planned quality improvement activities into daily workflow to reduce variation and increase customer satisfaction. Implement system changes to decrease medication incidents, adverse drug reactions and improve documentation of clinical operations.  Administer vaccines and promote the benefits of vaccination to general public. Identify high risk individuals using their profile and recommend appropriate vaccine in accordance with guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Visit local businesses, employer groups and Medical facilities to promote services such as pharmacy based immunizations, field immunizations, Homecare, SeniorMed and durable equipment supplies offered by Kroger Co.
