Researching Spinal pathology quantification

Breast cancer research at the computational pathology group. In ~1.5 year i setup my own project under supervision about a potential new method of diagnosing breast cancer. In this project, I learned a lot from communication to proper data and cluster use.

This entailed setting up and keeping track of budgets of the committee.

As a member of the Symposium committee, i helped setting up the yearly symposium. This year it was about AI in education. Tasks I did was recruit speakers and help setting up the budget.

As a member of the orientation committee, I learned a lot in terms of organisation. Setting up an orientation for first-year students is not as straightforward. It required precise planning and insight into problems that will occur. From this, i learned to plan, set up budgets and solve problems.The paparazzi committee was mostly about taking pictures at activities.

As a research assistant I helped setting up and conducting experiments regarding AI and psychology. This entailed coding parts of the experiment, communicating with participants and conducting the experiments.

As a TA I tutored students in various subjects such as Linear Algebra and Intro to Artificial Intelligence A. Next to the tutoring, the group of tutors came together to talk about their hardships in the working groups and learn from each other. Finally, I had to correct the homework.I also worked as a translator at the faculty of Economics and Business. Here, I translated from dutch to english and vice versa. Also testing of assignments was one of the tasks.

I started this internship to get to know more about working an AI job. In the summer i finally found one at Bureau WO. They gave me much freedom in what i wanted to do, but also challenging assignments which i enjoyed. I set up neural networks in python and tried to optimize performance. Next to that i researched various topic to solve problems or try new methods.
