Director Of Operations (Alberta Operations)
Currentn Provides leadership and direction to General managers in my region with respect to all aspect of human resources management such as recruitment, employee relations, health and safety, performance management, payroll and employee development. Interpreting and implementing corporate policies.n Attends regular provincial and national meetings and strategic planning sessions.n Liaises directly with head office on regular basis on corporate strategies, initiatives and directives.n Responsible for meeting/exceeding the financial results in the regions of operations.n Works directly with president, CFO and the GM’s to develop annual operations and capital budgets for the Hotels in my region.n Ensuring that financial operations in my region re correct and variance reports and accountability tools to results are completed each month by their General Managers.n Ensures that the General Managers are working within approved budgets as well as developing and implementing cost savings measures.n Follows First Canadian signing and delegation authority policy with respect to invoice and purchase order approvals and ensures that General Managers are implementing financial control policies.n Possesses a thorough working knowledge of the Innkeeper’s Act, Employment Standard Act, Human Right Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, workers Compensation Act, Public Health Act and other applicable legislation.n Ensures that the General Managers are aware of and follow their reporting responsibilities and deadline.n Works with Asset/Project Management team of resources to ensure that the properties assets are well maintained and that capital project are executed in an effective and timely manner
