• Maintain and promote the development of functional and funded research projects within MDIST;• To organize international academic conferences and training sessions in research and consultancy development;• Provide necessary information and technical assistance to enhance internal and external fund raising activities for research development;• To take responsibility for coordination, maintenance, development and improvement the services of Research Centre provided to academic and administrative staff, students and business enterprises who seek assistance in research cooperation and commercialization of research outcomes;• To develop and facilitate planning process for the activities of Research Centre and their implementation in accordance with the University strategy.
