Worked under both the Decker Lab and Young Lab in the Center for Drug Discovery, specifically on a cancer immunology project, identifying and synthesizing a small molecule that modulates the function of CTLA-4 protein (cancerous functions). Organic synthesis techniques, simultaneously doing cell cultures, bacterial transformation and protein analysis on CTLA-4. Presented findings to lab team, actively synthesized small molecule, and developed plasmid with target protein sequence to further synthesize CTAl-4 in bacterial cells.

Working as an ambassador for UCSB, advocating for the institution to prospective students and families, emphasising the universities mission of creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment. Lead multiple group tours weekly to 100+ visitors. Create personal and valuable connections with the guests.

A part of the Ma Lab team, under the direct supervision of Dr. Zach Ma, contributing towards research on identifying the factors and function of the measles virus. Specifically, applying concepts and skills from cell biology and biochemistry to visualise proteins under multiple experimental antibody treatments

Worked as a part-time instructor, teaching young students english and math skills. Through patience and positive affirmations, tutored 100+ children and assisted in grading and assessment of skills.

Worked as a research assistant at the Social Perception Lab at UCSB. Maintained many responsibilities including managing participants of study, administering consent forms, and providing data support analysis, as the youngest member of a college psychology laboratory gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Provided expert advice on which preservatives/additives should be endorsed under the mission statement of the organic grocer, through extensive research on pros and cons of the chemical, specifically potassium bicarbonate. Created detailed presentations for CEO and team to summarize these ideas and implement my recommendations.
