I am a first-year graduate student at the University of Idaho. I am pursuing an M.S. in Environmental Science and a Certificate in Climate Change. For my graduate project, I am collaborating with the City of Moscow to improve and develop climate change-focused communication materials for the community.In May of 2023, I completed a B.S. with honors in Environmental Science and a minor in Sustainable Food Systems from the University of Idaho. Before moving to Moscow, Idaho, I studied Agriculture Business in San Luis Obispo, CA. I grew up in Salinas CA, which mostly consisted of agriculture leadership competitions and operating a family horse training business. While pursuing graduate studies, I am working as a nature-based preschool teacher for a local non-profit, Palouse Clearwater Environmental Institution (PCEI). I work with children ages 4-7 to build a connection to the natural world while learning basic ecological principles. Before this position, I served a 5.5-month Ameri-Corps term as an Environmental Educator for PCEI. I have had the pleasure of working for the University of Idaho Outdoor Program as a Trip Leader on multi-day backpacking and rafting trips. I earned a Wilderness First Responder Certification, which allows me to manage risk and provide medical assistance in the field. I appreciate your interest in my profile and I would love to connect!
