Working on project funded by PAC-12 Networks to understand the major metabolic pathway of gluconeogenesis and how it responds to lactate supplementation in rats that have been subjected to traumatic brain injury (TBI). Developing and running assays Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry using isotope tracers to track analytes as they progress through these pathways. This work aims to improve standard of care in individuals recovering from TBI.
