I love being in the education field. It allows me the opportunity to do 2 things I care most about. I, of course, love teaching/training and facilitating and being able to teach English/ELA specifically has been a wonderful experience! I have thoroughly enjoyed helping my foreign students master English, which in turn helps them in their future endeavors and/or develop their global careers. I have the same fondness for my younger ELA students. Helping them become stronger readers and thinkers is always exciting. I also love managing educational programs, assiting in administrative roles and coaching students. It helps me understand the "behind-the-scenes" but also communicating with my colleagues, problem-solving issues between various stakeholders, working to make the programs work more effectively and successfully and mentoring students assiting them through their educational journeys... It's all so exciting!It's actually the best of both worlds... and I get to do it from home.My future plans are so open. The ability to transition into tech is an idea I've been toying with. Instructional design, L&D or UX/UI design has been a recent interest. I am also very interested in corporate training, facilitator, workshop type roles. But I would also like to do more college admin, student success, coaching, etc... That sounds like a natural role for me as an educator. My goal is to upskill myself over the next year or so. I have a lot of transferable skills, I am an excellent trainer, adult leaners are my speciality and helping those to improve their skills is my passion. I am just so excited for what the future holds.
