We Make the Future (WMTF) was founded in 2021 and is built on the implementation work of Race Class Narrative Action with ASO Communications and Faith in Minnesota and rooted in Race Class Narrative research. WMTF serves as an implementation home for the Race Class Narrative (RCN) and other empirically backed messaging. Our goal is to increase the capacity of state, local and national partners to move a race forward narrative on our economy and democracy so they can make a compelling case for a better future for all. By combining empirically based messaging and coalition building we partner on the development and distribution of shared narratives rooted in place that motivate our base and persuade the middle. In collaboration with partners, we do this by:Building alignment among regional partners so they can move an empirically backed shared message that advances our vision for a multiracial democracy and pushes back at the strategic use of dog whistle racismFacilitating workshops and other capacity building tacticsCollaborating on new research and sharing current research findings to aid groups in their campaign goalsDeveloping messaging guides, digital toolkits, and other narrative resourcesCreating content (illustrations, ads, etc..) that demonstrates an effective narrativeSupporting the distribution of empirically backed narratives online and offline

Beyond the Choir partners with social justice organizations to craft resonant messaging, plan strategic campaigns, and mobilize larger bases of support. Our name captures the core of our mission: in order to build movements capable of winning real change, we need to do more than just “preach to the choir".

Indivisible is working to inspire a cultural shift in how Americans think about the role of government in America by training the next generation of civic-minded leaders, disrupting and reframing negative media discourse about government, and creating a network of champions to change the conversation about government in their communities.

Anika has pioneered Public Works' efforts on racial and economic equity and with millennial organizations. She is responsible for reaching out to new potential allies and working with our partners as they strive to build support for an effective public sector that is dedicated to equitable opportunities for all Americans.Lead national and state-based research focused on race and the role of government. Our mission is to create widespread understanding of and support for the essential roles of government. To pursue this mission, we work with decision-makers and activists at the local state and federal levels to help them create broader understanding for their individual policy goals with simultaneously shoring up support for the public sector in general. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and the State Fiscal Analysis Initiative (SFAI) are pleased to announce the inaugural class of State Policy Fellows. This class of 2010-2012 Fellows was selected following an extremely competitive four-month selection process, which netted nearly 400 candidates from across the country. The five Fellows will spend two years with a member organization of the SFAI, starting in August 2010, analyzing the impact of state budget and tax policy choices on low-income residents and promoting positive reforms. During that time, they will also participate in a professional development program.The State Policy Fellowship Program was developed to expand the diversity of voices that speak with authority, through timely and rigorous analysis, in state policy debates that affect disadvantaged families and communities. Fellows will research and write analyses on current policy issues; brief policymakers, journalists, and others on these issues; and serve as a resource for advocates and community groups.The State Policy Fellowships have been made possible by donations and by generous commitments from The Stoneman Family Foundation, W.K.
