Established August 2010. Detroit Sweets is sold locally at Detroit farmer’s markets from June through September. Specializing in jams and jellies, products are made with locally grown products using the small batch production method. All recipes have been personally developed through extensive research and testing. Detroit Sweets also provides preservation classes through Keeping Detroit Green for the past three years.

I oversaw the daily administration of the residential community of 800 students and staff. I was the chief administrator of staff recruitment, training & development, and supervision. I supervised staff and managed all departmental performance evaluations, reviews, complaints, etc. within the guidelines of the human resource department. I developed and managed a departmental budget and I served on university wide committees developing a comprehensive emergency management plan, university wide implementation of computer wide system and major events coordination.As the departmental spokesperson, I addressed student and parent groups at university functions to increase student enrollment and retention at the university. I served as the coordinator and administrative support for live-in staff during campus emergencies and serious residential and campus incidents. I also supervised the management of conference services and created residential marketing campaigns directed towards off campus students to live in the community to increase retention.

I supervised, trained and evaluated the Housing Coordinator/Office Manager, Summer Conference professional and other paraprofessional staff. I implemented & developed policies and procedures for all housing operation functions; customer service standards to assure internal and external guests’ satisfaction and managed housing assignments. Served in departmental rotation for crisis management and support of live-on staff and students.

College Park, Maryland

Managed three residence halls housing over 400 students in a living learning community, "College Park Scholars " (CPS). As a staff member, I collaborated with CPS faculty and staff on program implementation and academic events and assisted CPS staff and faculty on integrating curricular & co-curricular experiences. I ensured customer service provision to internal and external constituencies and promoted community development through initiatives based on citizenship, scholarship and leadership based on departmental policies and procedures. I served as judicial housing officer to adjudicating policy violations, sanctions and referrals and provided on-call emergency response for residential population of 5000 students in 11 residence halls. Additionally, I trained professional and paraprofessional staff on university and departmental policies and procedures and collaborated in the revision of New Resident Orientation program and trained over 100 student volunteers.

Kent, Ohio

Supervised the First Year Experience complex of 400 students & supervised undergraduate & graduate staff. I provided on-call emergency response for residential area of 1500 students and served as a University Judicial Hearing official for disciplinary cases, determined sanctions and made referrals to Judicial Affairs office. Additionally, I served on committees for professional and paraprofessional positions within the department
