• In charge of Imports, Exports and Logistics and responsible for all legal compliance of the Export Oriented Unit (100% EOU) with respect to Customs, Excise and SEEPZ SEZ.• Collect, analyze, and process the data to develop innovative and cost effective solutions. • Negotiating the costing and pricing analysis of the imports and exports logistics directly with the shipping lines as well as with the freight forwarders for Europe shipments. • Utilization and processing of available logistics options and implementation of solutions for In house logistics as well as for the customers.• Preparation and presentation of logistics solutions to the corporate management and customers.• Liasioning with other concerned departments for the Letter of Credit and relevant refunds from the government departments. • Liasioning with the local level , State level as well as Central Level government officialsAchievements:• Obtained the Letter of Permission (LOP) from the Government of India(GOI) which granted the service and manufacturing activities to be carried out in the same premises. It was the first such type of LOP issued by the GOI. • Prepared and presented the logistic solutions to the worldwide headquarters. These solutions could be applied uniformly by the group companies which have to tie up with the shipping lines to get advantage of freight rates. This made possible to form a global logistics team of the group companies which are spread all over the world. For the same purpose visited the group companies in Europe (Switzerland, France and Italy).• Facilitated the transportation of the Over Dimension Cargos (ODC) form Europe to ICD Ludhiana which is about 1800 kms from Mumbai port by hydraulic low bed truck. The concerned customer tried this job twice,but failed with in 50 kilometers from the port as he used the normal semi low bed truck.
