I have worked in healthcare for over 30 years and care deeply about the viable and sustainable transformation of health services for the sake of patients and colleaguesJoining DMC Healthcare in 1990, and now Group Managing Director, my vision was to challenge the primary care space. I brought together GP practices into a consolidated group, supported by standardisation and a sustainable infrastructure around HR, Finance, Marketing, IT and Data. This backbone for safe and effective care, has supported DMC’s growth as a diversified healthcare provider across community based hospital services, working in partnership with the NHS. In 1994 I led the development of a brand new “first of its kind” Health Centre building at Crystal Palace Road, opened by the then health secretary Virginia Bottomley and shadow secretary Tessa Jowell. A qualified Chartered Accountant with BDO, a top 10 accountancy firm, I spent 18 months as an internal auditor working internationally for Warner Lambert (a Pfizer company).
