Most recently Anila led the IPO effort at ING U.S., now known as Voya Financial, which debut with a market capitalization of $5 billion. Leveraged 10+ years of Finance industry experience across audit, financial control and investment banking to help advance ING’s IPO readiness effort. Actively contributed to thought leadership within the corporate controller’s team to provide a strategic view of INGs financial strength to the IPO team, and manage a team to drive a cross-functional process to accomplish critical IPO deadlines. Specifically: Led creation of first ING U.S. MD&A. Effort involved 9 months of effort aligning different business units and enterprise-wide perspectives and needs, creating and driving new analyses of peer disclosures and SEC guidance, and managing and integrating external advisory feedback.Architected a new and sustainable process for reporting the results of operations section in the MD&A. Managed a series of high profile debt and equity filing and led response on SEC comment letters.Drove a series of process improvements within the Controllers group to improve effectiveness and reduce cost; reorganized external auditors workflow to reduce approximate cycle time for comfort letter from 45 days to 10 days; reduced costs of external contractors by an average of $400/hr. to $85/hr. over 1 year period without compromising accuracy and continuing to meet aggressive delivery schedules. Led the creation of the inaugural financial statements of captive reinsurers.

Responsible for leading large teams across Fortune 500 finance organizations to lead audits; client development; present and discuss findings with senior clients; Evaluated the readiness of Sarbanes compliance for a public company in the financial services sector with a market cap of over $50B. Worked on the restatement of financial statements for a Company in the financial services sector with a market cap in excess of $150B.

Participated in placement of private equity, M&A and public transactions. Performed financial analysis, prepared client and internal presentations and researched financing sources for private placements. Prepared detailed analysis including discounted cash flows, dilution model, merger model and IPO models for various transactions. Developed internal presentations for the Morgan Keegan Investment Funds to invest $500k to $5MM.
