• Led a global organization of over 360 professionals, overseeing all engineering and cloud operations within the HPE GreenLake Private/Hybrid Cloud Services and Solutions Business Unit. Fostered a high-performance culture and aligned teams with strategic business objectives.• Established HPE GreenLake Central, the company’s first cloud platform, providing a robust foundation for delivering Hybrid Cloud Services. Developed and implemented a software delivery and operations model that met stringent SLA requirements for this innovative platform.• Delivered multiple cloud services from inception, including HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise (PCE), a flagship product tailored for the hybrid cloud market. This solution offers exceptional SLAs comparable to public cloud offerings, supporting a variety of deployment environments, such as data centers, colocation providers, physical edge locations, and disconnected cloud scenarios.• Launched additional workload services, including SAP RISE, HPC, and MLOps, all designed with similar cloud-like SLAs and fully built and operated by HPE.• Spearheaded the strategic direction for HPE’s cloud platform as a vital member of the core team reporting directly to the CTO and participating in the edge2cloud leadership team under the CEO’s guidance. Championed HPE’s transformative shift from traditional CAPEX products to a cloud services delivery model, which contributed significantly to the company’s growth and innovation, culminating in my promotion to Vice President II.

• Led the engineering teams for CA Jarvis Cloud Analytics Platform (Big Data Architecture, Machine Learning, Plug-and-Play data science), Telemetry Services, and Identity Services.

• Founding member and engineering lead for Nephelo Spin-In, which was created to spearhead Cisco in the Mobility Virtualization market. Maintained a focus on achieving year-over-year revenue objectives set by the Board of Directors. • Significantly exceeded performance expectations while in role, generating $104M in revenue in less than 24 months, including a 260% increase YoY. Secured 80% of Tier 1 customer wins; captured contracts with values approaching $20M; and closed accounts with industry leaders, including AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.• Delivered Mobile Gateways as NFV, which customers deployed in private clouds and data centers. Ensured business agility, and delivered turnkey solutions that slashed delivery times from years, to just weeks. • Built the Nephelo engineering organization, from the ground up, with emphasis on three sets of technical pools. Recruited and onboarded 62 top engineers in the first 12 months, with 70% of hires coming from outside of Cisco. • Partnered on the concept and developed working demos for the 2016 Mobile World Congress, which showcased our architecture capabilities in addressing 5G solutions. Delivered product presentations to all key telecom customers and handled multiple executive meetings and conversations. • Led the team to address all customer support matters, including more than 20 demos and proofs of concept. Engaged new customers, assisted in business development, handled all pre-production and production issues, and helped customers with deployment strategies. • Established a foundation of solid architecture for 4G and 5G backed by a strong execution plan. Co-innovated with customers, including Deutsche Telekom on Virtual Gi-LAN, and Verizon on the 5G evolution for VPC.

• Promoted to Director to spearhead the delivery of the Cisco Modular Software Architecture and lead the evolution of the data center operating system. Served as product evangelist and architected enhanced operational output and technical capabilities for Cisco’s Nexus Switches. Partnered across critical business units to drive results.• Managed 4 direct reports and a team of 85 engineers, responsible for High Availability and In Service Software Upgrades across enterprise, service provider, and data center market segments. Identified areas of improvement, turned around team performance, and transitioned from a Waterfall to Agile development methodology. • Led teams to rapidly develop an innovative solution that closed a competitive threat from Arista, based on a missing software patch upgrade for the data center product line. Our solution was modular and deployable across data center environments, and set the foundation and software architecture for Cisco’s next generation of data center products. • Headed platform independent software development for the Cisco NCS6000 Core Routing Platform, encompassing approximately 300 engineers on 3 continents. Managed all aspects of delivery, including execution planning and tracking, software integration, solutions testing, risk mitigation, and release management• Selected to lead integration efforts following Cisco’s 2013 acquisition of Insieme Networks. Partnered to deliver critical data center features for the Insieme ACI SDN solution and Insieme Standalone Nexus 9000 platforms.

• Worked as Senior Manager for Industry’s first stackable wired and wireless access switch product family. • Led a team of 4 direct reports and 45 engineers. Established an organizational structure, oversaw hiring and retention, managed the team’s performance, and ensured engineering best practices. • Served as Performance and Scale Lead for wireless switches and controllers. Managed a cross-functional team to deliver 140+ critical system performance and scale metrics, and applied them to specified customer segments. • Created an ecosystem of tools to measure and visualize the performance of complex systems, enabling the classification of a critical performance regression in just hours, as opposed to weeks of analysis previously. Leveraged a combination of open source and proprietary technology to manage over 15 million lines of code. • Architected an API framework to share network protocol code across Cisco, guiding the project from concept to production deployments. • Led the successful turnaround effort of the underperforming communications infrastructure team that had a direct impact on multiple services. Shifted the group out of a firefighting mentality, installed top talent, empowered the architects to find a better design, and managed expectations from leadership stakeholders.

• Worked as the Architect and Engineering Manager for Cisco’s first Multi-Chassis Core Routing System, generating $1B+ in revenue and placing Cisco at the top of the Service Provider market.

Played a pivotal role in the development of Cisco IOS-XR and Modular IOS, contributing to the design of packet infrastructure and kernel optimizations for high-speed software switching.
