Application Performance Management (APM) product monitors applications in production environment and provides insights on how they perform and how application interact with each other. Application Experience Analytics product collects and tracks mobile application and browser (end-user) metrics such as users, sessions, geo-location, application flows, business transactions, crashes and errors. Provides real time dashboards, reports and business analytics capabilities. I was responsible for:APM Machine Learning• Architected and implemented integration solution for machine learning algorithm with APM product.• Implemented memory anomaly detector using Kafka, Hadoop and Apache Spark.APM SaaS• Architected and implemented APM SaaS using spring boot, Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift.Cross Product Data Pipeline• Architected and implemented data pipeline using spring boot, Kafka, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Hadoop and apache spark. The data from pipeline will used by different products to implement analytics. • Architected, developed data collector, which collects the end user actions on browser and mobile applications using spring boot and Kafka.• Leveraged Docker, Kubernetes and Openshift to deploy and operationalize the data pipeline services.

• Resposible for Syllabus Microservices which are set of (Syllabus, Activity Repository, Provisioning, Resource Resolver, Content Provider, BLTI) core microservices part of learning platform which provides RESTful APIs for curriculum authoring application for course designers and faculties, rendering syllabus for students, managing metadata for content ingestion and content delivery integration for in house and third party content management system.• Collaborated with product management team and architecture team to architect, design and develop syllabus data model.• Designed and implemented REST API for syllabus microservices based on NoSQL data store (RIAK), which are used across multiple teams developing applications in the organization. • Built a team with 10 members onsite and 20 members offsite from ground up, ramped up the team members in various web-scaling technologies, domain and delivered multiple projects on time. • Responsible for Social Media Microservices which consists of Activity Stream, Discussion and Tagging Service. These services enables academic discussions for the user of the learning platform track and record the activities. Provides APIs for various applications, which are based on the discussion data.• Responsible for scaling the Social Media Microservices for 350K student base. • Collaborated with team to review and identify inefficient API usage in applications across multiple devices and provided an alternative efficient usage. Identified performance bottlenecks in service implementation and the data store (MySQL) and fixed the issues.

Web CMS (https://portal.phoenix.edu/)University of Phoenix provides online and local campus based education. The portal for online education is served out of a content management system (CMS) from Adobe, which is based on open source technologies Apache Sling and Apache Jackrabbit. • Part of the core web cms team, was responsible for developing software infrastructure components for the web cms projects so that application team can build upon the infrastructure.• Exposed RESTful APIs for the portal developers. Enhanced the service to support new feature set like student profile integration, SSO integration, and platform service integration.• Re-designed the monolithic service into multiple codebase and components. This helped in parallel development and code separation across multiple teams, deploying/rolling back individual component to production server.

Content Work Flow Manager• Conceptualization, Architecture, Design, Implementation of this new product.• Content workflow manager automates the lifecycle of the video content in an IPTV deployment from studio to the subscriber on the STB.• Evaluated and added new technologies and frameworks to speed up development.• Incorporated best practices and features in to the product based on the vast product development experience. • Coordinating offshore development. IPTV Middleware Application Server• Collaborated with architects and team for architecture, design and development of high performance and scalable Middleware Server using Apache web server, Tomcat, mod_jk, MySQL and Net-SNMP. • Developed functional spec, design doc for the development team and API doc for the application development team.• Architecture, design of Active-Passive/Active-Active HA for Middleware Application server. Review the implementation and testing of this feature.• Design of Cache synchronization implementation.
