Initially joined the Head Office of M/s. Lakshmi Kumaran & Sridharan at New Delhi. Worked on Service tax, Central Excise, Sales Tax and Standards of Weights & Measures (Packaged Commodity) issues. Subsequently transferred to the Bangalore office where apart from the above dealt with customs issues also till February 2007. Headed the Hyderabad branch of L&S from March 2007 to November 2007. Apart from litigation and consultancy was involved in Legal Reviews of various multi national companies.

Worked in the office of Accountant General (Audit), Karnataka auditing the records of the Central Excise department and its assessees in the field of service tax, excise and customs. Also drafting the audit report and submitting the same to headquarters. Involved in certifying the accounts and auditing of the various autonomous bodies viz., Indian Institute of Science, Indian Institute of Management, Central Silk Board, Karnataka Housing Board, Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board, World Bank Projects etc. Worked in the Headquarters vetting the audit reports, research of the assessess for Audit. Initiated in the formation of the EDP cell in the Revenue Audit Wing. Faculty at the Regional Training Centre, Indian Audit & Accounts Department, Bangalore.

Service Tax and Excise records were audited and objections raised and guidance given.
