I have been an entrepreneur since 1995, after 5 years of working in Computer Education as a faculty at NIIT Ltd. Mumbai, and later in their IRD center (Instructional Research & Development), New Delhi.In 2001, I started SecureMantra Technologies, with the idea of developing personal identity based systems using biometric information, at the time a little known, unexplored terrain. The company developed Criminal AFIS [Automated Fingerprint Identification System] and got it benchmarked and certified by NCRB, GOI.Since then, SecureMantra has established Criminal AFIS/ABIS in 13 Indian state police departments, making them the largest AFIS/ABIS installers in India.I am enterprising, can think out of the box, can manage large and complex IT projects with my team.I am capable of building a company or a vertical from scratch. I am experienced at foreign tie ups/collaborations, strategizing campaigns, government pitching. I am most happy while managing a technical idea from conception till development of a prototype and then deployment.I am honest, I talk straight, I listen and I think a lot.I have learned a lot of practical issues while handling biometric projects of high complexity demanding extremely high level of performance. This experience and insight, coupled with a developed intuition, may contribute a lot in a startup, or a running biometrics related business.I love to travel, visit new places, meet new people and write.
